Young People For Christ
From the beginning
of Hesed’s founding, Michael and Florence have carried a burden to
establish an effective children’s ministry.

Approximately 50%
of Uganda’s population is below 15 years of age, yet one finds that there
are very few church ministries specifically targeted towards this age
group.

This is largely
due to the small number of adults willing to work within such a ministry,
coupled with a small number of adults with the vision or necessary skill
set required for an effective ministry to children.

An effective
ministry would begin with regular, children-oriented Sunday school in all
the churches, something that currently doesn’t exist.

Identifying and
equipping Sunday school teachers would be the first step in achieving this
goal.
